Kate Walsh is an expert in the nexus of security and culture and is interested in how social and cultural influences inform individual and collective decisions to participate in political violence. She holds degrees in Security Studies from Georgetown and Social Anthropology & Arabic from the University of St Andrews. At Giant Oak, Kate serves as GOST's product manager and leads the research team providing support and insight to the tool’s analytics. In her spare time, she volunteers with the Metropolitan Police Department as an advocate for domestic violence survivors, practices martial arts, and reads mystery novels.
