What are you working on: I bridge the gap between analytics and analysis by supporting Giant Oak’s social scientists.
Tell me something about the work you do: Helping our team and clients crack a case fulfills my lifelong dream of becoming a gumshoe.
Why did you come to Giant Oak: I took Gary’s graduate course at Georgetown on economics and violence where he sold Giant Oak as the best place to put theory into practice.
What do you do when you aren't at work: I read detective stories.
Prior work experience: Prior to coming to Giant Oak, I worked for a development and defense contractor, concentrated on Middle Eastern security issues at a DC think tank, and spent time in the Middle East.
Education: I earned my MA in Security Studies (with honors) from Georgetown University where I concentrated in terrorism and sub-state violence. I completed my undergraduate degree in Social Anthropology and Arabic at the University of St Andrews.
